Miss Kate Zinnia

Beautiful and fluffy light pink blooms with a high percentage of doubles. These beautiful pink blooms are a special variety that caught our eye 4 years ago when we planted a mix of seeds we saved from the previous year. We have been cultivating them since to refine and stabilize them, and we are so excited to now share them with you!

Disclaimer: As this is our first year officially offering our seeds we are still working on systems for cleaning and storing seeds. There ended up being a small amount of open pollinated Miss Kate seeds that mixed in with the isolated ones, so you may find a surprise here or there with varying color or shape, but in our experience we’ve found some of our coolest blooms from rogue zinnias.

Growing Instructions:
Transplant (recommended): Sow in trays 4 weeks before last frost. A heat mat can help maintain and accurate temperature for germination. Germination is 5-7 days at 70-75°F (21-24°C). Do not let plants become root bound and avoid disturbing roots; transplant shock or other stress events may cause double-flowering varieties to produce single blooms for a period following stress.
Direct seed: Sow 1/4" deep after all danger of frost has passed.
Light preference: Full sun.
Plant spacing: 12 inches
Hardiness: Annual
Plant height: 3-4 feet.
